Artists’ Ensemble Theater’s 2008-09 season features an American classic, a family drama, a down-home musical and a whodunit comedy written by Margaret Raether, one of the theater company’s actresses.

New details emerged Wednesday evening in the murder of a 12-year-old girl from Northeast D.C. after the medical examiner confirmed her death was a homicide, and she was strangled. Police say Marisol Caseras’ body was discovered in her family’s apartment earlier this week, and as FOX 5’s Roz Plater reports, police are still trying to figure out who would have wanted to kill her.

Baltimore County homicide detectives are taking their first look at the smoldering mystery surrounding the death of a father in a house fire nearly six years ago.

What can I say? I was in the middle of Tami Hoag’s excellent “Kill the Messenger” when I got hold of Harlan Coben’s “Promise me”. I abandoned the former for the latter.
